I think this is a timeless song.

It was huge in the 1990’s when it was first released and even today, 20+ years later, my 6 year old son loves it too.  I also think it’s timeless because the message is just as relevant to today, especially when it seems persecution of Christians (among others) is on the rise. DC Talk connected with Voice of the Martyrs and released a series of books from 1999 with the same title, retelling stories of persecuted Christians – Christians who died &/or were tortured because of their faith.

What will people think when they hear that I’m a Jesus Freak?
What will people do when they find that it’s true?

I don’t really care if they label me a Jesus Freak
There ain’t no disguising the truth
No I ain’t into hiding the truth…
